Atlas of Global Change

The Atlas of Global Change (Diercke Satellitenbildatlas "Die Welt im Wandel"- combines satellite image maps with traditional maps in order to highlight developments and processes on our planet.

The themes covered by the atlas range from natural phenomena such as weather, seasons, volcanoes and earthquakes to a large variety of man-made changes such as agricultural influences, growth of cities, and many others. A collection of time-series exemplifies how fast global change is proceeding.

eoVision was responsible for:

  • Preparing the atlas concept,
  • Acquiring and processing all satellite data,
  • Completing the layout of the maps and pages of the atlas, and
  • Delivering the ready-to-print final files.

The Westermann Verlag, one of the most prestigious publishers of atlases and geographical teaching materials, provided the traditional maps and diagrams.
