Land use mapping:
Land use maps from the regional scale to the local scale are provided to support the public sector in the planning of political measures. They are an essential tool also to control the implementation of these measures from the communal to the European level.
Harvest prediction:
A careful analysis of satellite data taken during the vegetation period allows estimating how large the crop will be. This provides important information for harvest planning, but also for the application of fertilisers in the next vegetation period.
Forest stand information:
Sophisticated methods are applied to extract information on forest parameters based on satellite data. Among these parameters the stand borders, the age classes of stands, the main tree species composition and the stand density are the most important data products delivered.
Change analyses:
Long-term changes in the use of agricultural areas are intensively related with the economic development and with the state of the ecosystems. Change analyses are provided to help assess the extent of this mutual impact and provide with information to predict further developments.
